SINGAPORE SUNNIES

Today we bought some sun glasses for 8  dollars. We bought them with our pocket money. We have been saving up! Lachlan was being very cool!   We all had a turn at wearing them.

Bike Ride at Pasir Ris

Last week we went to a park called Pasir Ris and hired bikes to ride on.  It was very hot and I was sweating alot! I liked going on my bike because I hadn't been on one for ages. I went down some steps on my bike. It was bumpy and I think I scraped the bottom of the bike. Later when I was riding I wanted to go down a very steep hill but I fell off because the back wheel got stuck on the root of a tree. Everyone else enjoyed the day. 

Air Show and a Fruity Dragon!! (by Lachlan)

We went to the airport on a bus and we saw the Singapore Air Show.  There were lots of planes flying over our heads.  The first ones were jets and they were fast and loud!! They were so fast we could not even take a photo of them! There was also a B52 bomber and the Australian Roulettes!
After the planes flew over we went and had an ice-cream because it was very hot. Then we looked at lots of planes and helicopters. My favourite part of the air show was looking at all the missiles and torpedos.

Tuk Tuk Ride (by Lachlan)

Last night we had some Mexican Food at Clarke Quay and then we went on a Tuk Tuk.  A Tuk Tuk is a bike that has a carriage.  Sometimes they are called Tri Shaws because they have 3 wheels.  It felt bumpy and the driver let me beep the horn! I liked breeze in my face - that was awesome! After we went up to the top of the Swissotel Building. It was 70 floors high and we could see where we had our mexican dinner! It looked beautiful because there were so many lights! 

Harley Davidson Ride

 Today we went on a Harley Davidson with Dad's friend "Colin". It was great but I was a bit scared at the start. The motorbike sounded really loud and powerful. I sat on the back and he took me for a ride around the corner. Lachlan was brave and went for a ride too.

Last night our neighbours gave us some yummy dumplings! They invited us over for a Chinese cup of tea.
Their names are Shen (she is in Grade 5) and her Mum is Li Shan.  They have come to live here from China.  Shen's Dad still lives in China because he works there and Shen has to go to school in Singapore.
When we were there I tried some other interesting food.
I said thank you and gave Shen one of my toys.

Chingay Parade

On Friday night we went a parade called "Chingay Parade" and I loved it! There were floats, warriors, lanterns and big puppets. There was a huge strip of water and everyone walked in it.  My favourite bit was when the Star Wars characters went passed.  It was great when the Chinese warriors battled Darth Vader! The parade was for Chinese New Year and we went with out friends Michael and Shae.

Batam Island

On Monday we went on a ferry to Batam Island in Indonesia. It's about 35 minutes from Singapore. It was really cool there and we spent lots of time swimming in the pools.  One part was really deep and it just dropped quickly.  I loved it! We went to another pool and Mum lost her earring so I had to find it for. There was a huge jetty there and we went on it but could only go half way only because it was closed.  There were hammocks there and we spent lots of time playing on the beach.  We stayed in an old Indonesian hut and we had mosquito nets around our beds. I really liked it at Batam and wish I could go back there!
