Sky Park - Marina Bay Sands

 Yesterday we got to go up to the top of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.  At the very top is an amazing pool and the whole top level is shaped like a boat.  The pool was really deep but I made it to the other side. Mum's friends were staying there so we they took us up for a special treat.  Arlyn said he felt like we were really rich but he was also a little bit scared being so high above the ground.  From Lachlan xx

Singapore Zoo with Nanna and Winnie

The Orangutans - our new friends! 

Last week Nanna and Winnie arrived in Singapore. The next day we went to the Zoo to have breakfast with the Orangutans.  Dad felt really at home!

I held a snake for the first time! I held a snake and it looked really wet and slimy but felt dry when I touched it.  Lachlan was chosen to be part of the Zoo show.  He had to stand up in front of the audience and make a huge elephant noise.  He was a star!! Lucky they had some sound effects (with the real elephant sound)!

We also went to the Night Safari Zoo and my favourite animals there were the lions.  While we were there they roared alot. It was loud and scary.

Lachlan's favourite animals were the otters at the night zoo.  They were very noisy and wanted to talk to us!

Children's Garden

This week we went to the Botanic Gardens.  The first place we went to was the Children's Garden and I loved it there because there was a real tree house.  It was built around a thick tree. Lachlan and I went up to the top then we saw a little meeting room down on level 2 so we pretended to be people having a  meeting. There were even chairs made out of tree trunks.  We played a game on the slippery slide.  I sat at the top of the slide and I would pretend to fall down it.  Lachlan would grab me and we would see how long he could hold on to me before we both fell down the slide.

The Evolution Garden

Afterwards we went to the Evolution Garden.  It is like you are where the dinosaurs lived.  We played "Prehistoric Park" which is a TV show that we love very much. 

It was a very very awesome day!

A Blog From Mum!

Since Nana Julie and GranDad left Singapore the boys have been working very hard to catch up on their school work. They haven't even had time to write a new post on the blog so I thought I would give them a hand.  

They have been doing some great schoolwork and last week Lachlan received 2 certificates from his teacher in Brisbane - "Miss Jane".  She says he is doing great work!

Arlyn has also been enjoying his school work.  This week he had to create a picture about someone who helps us in the community - he chose a cab driver because we catch taxis alot.  He had to use the same art techniques as in a book he has been reading.  Sketching, Painting and then highlighting with black ink.  He really enjoyed creating the picture.   We hope you like it too.

When Grandad and Nana Julie Came to Stay...... by Lachlan

This week Grandad and Nana Julie came to stay with us.  We had the best time ever! Went to Sentosa Island and went on the luge ride and we loved it.  Grandad went flat strap and Daddy and I could never get past him! We also did the Cable Car and went to the Jurong Bird Park.

My Birthday Party - Lachlan

On Saturday I had a party for my 5th birthday. My friends gave me lots of presents.  Shae, Michael, Arlyn, Charlotte, Ben and Jack all came to my place. It was nice to have Grandad and Nana Julie here too!  We decorated yummy biscuits, played pass the basket and then had a swim!   Mum and Dad got me an Angry Birds Birthday Cake.  It was delicious.  I had the best time! Afterwards Grandad and I made our spitfire aeroplane that was in my party bag.

SINGAPORE SUNNIES

Today we bought some sun glasses for 8  dollars. We bought them with our pocket money. We have been saving up! Lachlan was being very cool!   We all had a turn at wearing them.
